FRAMES
Dress Frames: Standard frames are referred to as "dress frames". They are not
made to withstand the impact that can occur in the above mentioned sports. Sport
Frames: Special frames especially designed for sports are available. These frames are
designed to withstand a greater impact, and not to cut the face when a blow is received. |
LENS OPTIONS
Polycarbonate Lenses: These are the most impact-resistant
lenses available.
UltraLite Lenses: This is a new type of lens material that has only been available
for the last few years. These lenses are 10 times more break-resistant than conventional
plastic lenses, but they are not as impact-resistant are Polycarbonate lenses.
Conventional Plastic Lenses: These are the most common lenses prescribed in this
country. They are much more impact-resistant than glass.
Glass Lenses: Glass lenses are not recommended for sports. |
